Alaska is bigger than all the other states. Our state is known as the Last Frontier. Alaska is part of the U.S. and is the forty-ninth state. Alaska has a lot of different climate zones. Alaska has glaciers, deserts, tundra, volcanoes, and lots of wild animals. Across Alaska we have three million lakes and the highest mountains you will ever find in North America. Alaska has a lot of wild places with moose, polar bear, grizzly and and black bears, caribou, seal, whales, sea lions, sea otters, foxes, wolves and nesting migratory birds. Alaska doesn't have very many people, but has more coastline than all the other states combined. Alaska also has huge oil, coal and natural gas reserves.
